Writing Experiments

Experiment 1: Storyboarding a Trailer

For my first experiment I was attempting to draw upon the fictional audience that I had imagined for the project. I wondered what story pieces would be necessary to fully entice a potential viewer. I watched trailers for similar series and decided a visual component would enhance the short trailer script I had written up. Below is a draft script for a potential animated series along with a link to the rough story board.

Experiment 2: An Audiobook Chapter

Continuing on from the storyboard/script I wanted to explore the more traditional narrative structure. Initially I wanted to simply rewrite the campaign as a novel, however I felt that it was missing some flair. So in addition to a first chapter I created an audiobook portion to accompany the final portion of the text. This experiment challenged me to create a compelling enough story that has significantly less context as well as use audio. The editing and trial and error was an interesting challenge that I find myself wanting to do more of.
