Born to two rich liquor makers in Runaar, Ikki had an opulent upbringing. She developed a love for art by watching her family trade with traveling artisans and admired the careful craft. Tired of working in trade and its monotony she joined a traveling artisans guild hoping to see more of the country.

By the time she reached maturity, she was an accomplished painter and weaver, but she felt unfulfilled still. Despite fitting in well with the rest of the guild there still existed a slight unease, they looked down on her for her beginnings. Thinking she could not fit in as a traveler she returned home, sure she would simply fall back into the family business. Much to her surprise she met Aera after hiring her to deal with a few thieves that had been stealing her family's wares. Soon their friendship bloomed into romance and now they are happily engaged.
